Thanks, Joy— I've been back for a month now, just trying to catch up on the adventure in between busy work days. Would you like to have a kahve sometime?
Harika is the Turkish word for wonderful, marvellous, extraordinary. It has always been one of my most favourite words, for both its meaning and the pleasure of pronouncing it.
Welcome to Harika, the adventures of a compulsive sketcher.

Peaceful...
Truly.
It has been a joy to see your pictures and to get some sense of how you feel about these places. Now, I look forward to your tales from home.
I think skyscapes always have the sense of enchantment :)
Thank you, Steve. I am already behind on my posts and have quite a bit of Istanbul to share!
I agree, mice_aililing.
Beautiful photographs. Hope you don't mind if I try to paint from them. They are inspiring.
Safe travels! Just finished reading "Little Princes," by Conor Grennan about the Nepalese orphanages.Good, but sad book.
Which ones do you plan to paint from, MG?

I like the top two. I love the horizontal grey clouds in the second one but i don't think I can pull those off successfully.
