It is the end of an era. Nearly seven years after my first post from the bare floors of my apartment in San Francisco, I'm sitting on a plush hotel bed looking at three suitcases, wondering where the time has gone. As it was back then, it is surreal— I can't quite believe that I'll be leaving Turkey in a few hours... What to say? I have lived longer in Istanbul than in any other place in my life. It is, it was my home.
Çok teşekkür ederim— thank you, and görüşürüz!

I hope this does not mean this will be your last post. I don't care where you're going, as long as I get to read more of your stories - your drawings, the tales of the locals, the photographs of architecture and birds. Safe travels, but please always return to the home you have created here!
With much love from the US,
Phoebe
What an adventure you have had! I've enjoyed looking at your photos, reading about Turkey and your travels, and especially, seeing your drawings. I wish you the best and look forward to following your blog wherever you land.
I echo the other comments and so hope that this is not your last post. I've been reading your blog for the past several years, and while I don't often comment I have enjoyed your posts and your drawings and peeks into other countries and cultures so much. You have provided such inspiration and helped to broaden my view of the world! I hope to be able to read more about your continuing adventures, in both travel and art, and in the meantime many best wishes on your next steps!

And an echo of those comments from me, too. Bon voyage!
Good luck, anywhere. Marco
Good luck with your next adventure.
Thank you all so much for your kind words! This is definitely not my last post— plus I haven't finished showing you the rest of The Little Aegean Road Trip. Soon...
Thanks again, and best wishes!
Safe travels, Samantha! I know you'll find us (or we'll find you) wherever you land!!! <3
Thank you, Anna Denise!
Lots of love to you :)
Well, I am sorry to say I have not kept up regularly with your blog. Nevertheless, I have enjoyed a good many of your adventures. I feel sorry that I missed your announcement of your leaving. I will review and catch up. I sense you will still provide wonderful stories with pictures, drawings, and food. I love that you are enjoying being a young adult in this wonderful world of ours. I look forward to new adventures of yours.
