are harem pants ever a good thing?
I want to say yes, that depending on the fabric and cut, these roomy pants will keep from being Hammer-esque. After all, Jeannie snagged an astronaut in her flowy pink pair. From the window of a speeding bus, I thought I saw a girl wearing a purple floral pair successfully. I am determined to pull off harem pants. I truly believe that it's all in the fabric. In an alley off Istiklâl on Wednesday, I found the cutest store with the sweetest salesgirl, she had Cleopatra-lined eyes and was super friendly.
So I bought this black pair at Roll. Roll has a fun selection of creative and affordable clothing and accessories. While I don't think these pants are the ones— they sure are comfortable and I love wearing them around the house. They put me in a good mood.
On a separate note, I've completed the first in a series of 7 drawings of my grandmother, Yvonne. I never had the chance to meet her, but she feels so familiar to me from all the stories my aunts and father have told me. She was a beautiful, stylish and strong woman, who loved history and films. It's no wonder my grandfather had fallen in love with her at first sight.
I plan on giving one drawing to each of her children— my father, my aunts and my uncle.

Well, the style blogs tell us no, but I kind of like Harempants. I havent dared to buy a pair yet since I am blessed with quite a "ghetto booty" (my roommates opinion), so Im not sure theyll look good. But I like em!!!
Haha! Ghetto booty, huh? You are too funny. I never wanted to admit that I kind of liked harem pants in the past, but I figure since I am in the land where they were born...
I have never tried to wear those kind of pants, but they would be great for going around the house ;) and you do look happy and amused with them on :)))
The drawing is just beautiful and a nice gift for your family.
Some time ago my mum asked me to draw one of my grandmother's and I did, is somewhere there, unfinished, I must admit.
I think that you look great in anything...I remember wearing a pair out "clubbing" another lifetime ago...they were sooooo much fun!
A stunning portrait...What treasures you are creating for your family! :)
Thank you Yoda and Margaret Ann!
I am lounging about in them as I type this :D
Yoda, your portraits are stunning— you should find it and finish it :)
I think all in yo you looks great, that pants are beautiful when you wear. kisses from Pereira Colombia.
Your harem pants look so comfortable, and I like the fact that they are black with red accents!
The drawing of your grandmother reminds me of Barbara Stanwyck.
Harempants? It is an Anatolian pants. How did you get this idea?:)
Yes Selma, I know they are Anatolian, but outside of Turkey they are called "harem pants"— must be from the movies or something :)
I like harem pants. Not that I have any, but really looking forward to get one myself.
