are harem pants ever a good thing?

I want to say yes, that depending on the fabric and cut, these roomy pants will keep from being Hammer-esque. After all, Jeannie snagged an astronaut in her flowy pink pair. From the window of a speeding bus, I thought I saw a girl wearing a purple floral pair successfully. I am determined to pull off harem pants. I truly believe that it's all in the fabric. In an alley off Istiklâl on Wednesday, I found the cutest store with the sweetest salesgirl, she had Cleopatra-lined eyes and was super friendly.

So I bought this black pair at Roll. Roll has a fun selection of creative and affordable clothing and accessories. While I don't think these pants are the ones— they sure are comfortable and I love wearing them around the house. They put me in a good mood.

On a separate note, I've completed the first in a series of 7 drawings of my grandmother, Yvonne. I never had the chance to meet her, but she feels so familiar to me from all the stories my aunts and father have told me. She was a beautiful, stylish and strong woman, who loved history and films. It's no wonder my grandfather had fallen in love with her at first sight.

I plan on giving one drawing to each of her children— my father, my aunts and my uncle.

Well, the style blogs tell us no, but I kind of like Harempants. I havent dared to buy a pair yet since I am blessed with quite a "ghetto booty" (my roommates opinion), so Im not sure theyll look good. But I like em!!!

Haha! Ghetto booty, huh? You are too funny. I never wanted to admit that I kind of liked harem pants in the past, but I figure since I am in the land where they were born...

I have never tried to wear those kind of pants, but they would be great for going around the house ;) and you do look happy and amused with them on :)))

The drawing is just beautiful and a nice gift for your family.

Some time ago my mum asked me to draw one of my grandmother's and I did, is somewhere there, unfinished, I must admit.

Your harem pants look so comfortable, and I like the fact that they are black with red accents!
The drawing of your grandmother reminds me of Barbara Stanwyck.

Yes Selma, I know they are Anatolian, but outside of Turkey they are called "harem pants"— must be from the movies or something :)
