drinking mountains

I was really inspired by my friend Ramires' beautiful sketch of tea, and I thought I'd try drawing my cup of Lapsang Souchong. If you've never had this smoked black tea, you must change that— it feels like you're drinking a mountain. Seek it out, have it on a day when you need to feel transported. Lupicia was one of my favourite tea shops in San Francisco, and fortunately, they have an online store— although I don't know if they ship overseas. Twinings also makes a decent Lapsang.

Sometimes you have to draw the little forgotten things right in front of you,
to get back on the right path.

I like it too!! Although not enough to replace my earl grey as a regular...but thanks for the reminder to have a cup! For me it tastes like billy tea and reminds me of bushwalking hikes.

Ooh I've never had billy tea— what is it and where can I find some?

It is just 'normal tea' brewed in a billy (just a Australian name for a can) in a campfire

You have to be in the 'outback' or the 'bush' that have the real thing!

Well that sounds wonderful!
Tea in a can, under the stars.

Finally got some of that tea - see here http://www.lizsteel.com/2010/03/100327-drinking-mountains-and-really.html
Now I have to get a sample of the billy tea - not sure it will be as good!
