the streetside gallery

As I try to digest the past six days of sensory overload— all the colours, smells, flavours and warmth— and while I work on scanning all the sketches and doodles I've scrawled out, I thought I'd share some of Barcelona's unsung art with you. In a city bursting with Gaudí and Montaner, Miró and Picasso, you can spend an awful lot of money and time in marvellous museums— but if you keep your eyes open along the journey to your arty destinations, there's quite a visual feast to be had on Barcelona's streets. I'll be squeezing in some graffiti gems in between posts over the next few days— this is the stuff I long to see in Istanbul someday.
