love the thread of blue running throughout these pictures, i keep trying to replicate it in watercolour but so far manganese hue is the closest i can come and it is a somewhat opaque colour so still not satisfied!
nice set of pics offering us a view of "regular" Tibetans, i've said it before and i'll say it again - you have an "eye" for the presentation of - well - life which we are all glad you share!
Thank you so much, Barbara-- I know what you mean about recreating the blue... it's so hard to get it right. The colours here are so vivid and saturated that it's been a real challenge sketching.
Oh! The people in these pictures are actually Nepali, but I am not sure of their ethnic origins.
Love the daily life photos, especially of the "market scene" with the woman displaying all her fresh produce! Your mom told us Wednesday she was happy you made it their safely. =) Enjoy your time!
Harika is the Turkish word for wonderful, marvellous, extraordinary. It has always been one of my most favourite words, for both its meaning and the pleasure of pronouncing it.
Welcome to Harika, the adventures of a compulsive sketcher.
