oh the many things to crave

Truffles, mussels, chocolate and snails, hams and peppers, fruits and fish— this is La Boqueria. The earliest record of a market on this site goes way back to 1217, and the current metal roof was erected in 1914. I love a market, and La Boqueria was such a sensory treat. I sipped on a fresh kiwi pineapple juice from one of the cheerful shouting vendors as I perused the colourful stalls.

I have no idea what these delicious fried balls were that I bought at a fish stand. I was told by the grinning vendor that it was cod, but the texture was so creamy inside, it made me wonder...

If you're walking down La Rambla and find yourself in need of a tasty treat, run into La Boqueria for a little carton of kumquats or mysterious fish balls. Oh! Did I mention there's chocolate?

Ha,ha,ha, the misterious balls really have cod inside, but mixted with a fine bechamel sauce. At the end I wonder if you liked them :)
They tend to be a bit greasy, so they must be reciently and cleanly made.

Aah, I see...
Thank you Javier!
They were delicious— although yes, a bit on the greasy side.
