Hi Charlin— sossego is the Portuguese word for quiet, since the village of Pedrógão Pequeno is so... well, quiet :)
There aren't that many people there from the impression I got, and those who were there, were indoors. Overall, Portugal felt rather quiet— even Lisbon. But then again, I'm coming from Istanbul, which is bursting at its seams with people.
Harika is the Turkish word for wonderful, marvellous, extraordinary. It has always been one of my most favourite words, for both its meaning and the pleasure of pronouncing it.
Welcome to Harika, the adventures of a compulsive sketcher.
